Come and meet our Anglo-Saxon skeleton and find out what life was like in Anglo-Saxon ‘Fulcanstan.’ Complete team challenges that help you learn all about Anglo-Saxon Kent. Create your own version of a Kentish disc brooch to take away.
During the workshop, you can:
• Use archaeological evidence from Dover Hill Anglo-Saxon cemetery.
• Examine a skeleton.
• Try writing with a quill.
• Learn about runes and Anglo-Saxon beliefs.
• Make an Anglo-Saxon braid/ try your hand at weaving.
• Dress up as an Anglo-Saxon.
• Play an Anglo-Saxon board game.
• Make your own Kentish disc brooch to take away.
