Join us to celebrate Chinese New Year at Folkestone Museum! As we enter the Year of the Snake, which starts on the 29th of January, we’ll make and decorate concertina snakes in this family workshop.

Animals were first associated with the Chinese zodiac in the 3rd Century BCE. Chinese zodiac signs all have different traits which influence people’s personalities. People born in the Year of the Snake are wise, calm, and alert. Sometimes, though, people call this year the ‘little dragon’ year – just in case anyone feels embarrassed by the association!

Sessions run from 10.30-12.45 and 1.30-3.30.
