We’re going under the sea for Marine Week in the second week of the summer holidays! We’re so proud of our unique seaside at Folkestone – Marine Week celebrates some of the things you can find in our collection. Behind the scenes, we have starfish, sea shells and sea horses – as well as a whole box of different seaweeds.

Join us to create a rock pool on Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th of July. We’ll be making seahorse dream catchers on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st of July.

Our summer holiday activities are designed for children and young people under 13. We’ll run four activity sessions a day at 10:30, 11:30, 13:30 and 14:30. When you arrive at the museum before your chosen session, please pick up your FREE timed ticket at the main reception desk! Tickets are first come, first served on the day – we don’t allow booking in advance. We cap workshop numbers at 15 participants (plus their adults) per workshop.

All workshops are free, but we’d appreciate a small donation towards materials.
