People have lived in and around Folkestone for thousands of years – the past of our town is literally under our feet! This museum masterclass will lead you through the archaeology of Folkestone and its landscape, from the Ice Ages to the Cold War. Learn about the formation of the Channel, a 125,000-year-old hippopotamus, an Iron Age centre of power and trade, the Roman villa, the beginnings of Folcanstan under St Eanswythe, and much more. Led by Dr Andrew Richardson, director of Isle Heritage CIC.
