Sunday 11th November marks Armistice Day, marking the moment when the First World War finally ended. Join us to make a remembrance poppy and to design your own silk postcard, like those sent home to their families by soldiers on the Western Front.

Over ten million soldiers, civilians and Prisoners of War passed through Folkestone during the First World War. The museum’s ‘Frontline Folkestone’ theme explores Folkestone’s role in both World Wars.

Today, Remembrance includes everyone who serves their country – the emergency services, the armed forces, and others. We remember them this weekend.
