Reach Out and Proud celebrates the LGBTQ+ community in Folkestone. Art in Romney Marsh commissioned Clare Unsworth to photograph these portraits during Folkestone Pride in June 2024. The photographs respond to a group of 1920s photographs of key members of the local queer, creative community – including Radclyffe Hall, EF Benson, Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville West. Volunteers for the project were invited to bring their partners and/ or canine companions along with them. The poster shows Em and their greyhound Neil.
