Week four of our family holiday activities is Geology week!
On the 12th of August, we’re making geodes – rocks lined with crystals. Geodes form where there are air bubbles inside rocks. They often occur after volcanic eruptions create rocks.
Our friends Astrid and Craig from FLAMS are back on the 13th of August with another craft activity all about the Folkestone Elephant.
We’re making geodes again on the 14th of August.
On the 15th of August, join us at the museum to make your own fossil.
Our Geology Week family activities are designed for children and young people under 13. We’ll run four activity sessions a day at 10:30, 11:30, 13:30 and 14:30. When you arrive at the museum before your chosen session, please pick up your FREE timed ticket at the main reception desk! Tickets are first come, first served on the day – we don’t allow booking in advance.
